Attention please! Notes for writers

Since we have changed the writing to be free of cost, there have been allready a few entries that are not compliant to our rules. Of course we have to erase them. That’s no good for anyone. This is time-consuming because we have to check every complaints. Therefore we recommend to strict observe the rules if you think of writing an entry.

Changes - Writing is free of cost but not worthless

It’s been a while but we can now announce a big evolution-step of the project.

Writing is free of cost but not worthless.
And if you want to support our project, you can do this with paypal. You can find the link here.

First an information for all enlisted that allready had payed for the writing: We will send you an E-mail so we can refund your money. If you decide to abandon that option we want to thank you for your support.

Why are we doing these changes?
Well, a lot people asked: Why do we have to pay? And we answered: “Because the project cost a lot of money that we don’t have. And we can be secure that there will be no nonsens or spam (after we changed it to be free there has been allready some people that wrote horrible nonsens or spam, so for us this means more work).”

But we want this project to grow and we understand that people don’t want to pay for their personal opinion.

Why do you have to enter a code?
This is to be sure that “humans” are writing. There are some programs that can fill in a form and post spam then. With a code we can be quite sure that this will not happen. So, don’t be insecure about that.

Well, we are working on the tour and are deeply grateful for any support. Give us your opinion.

Welcome to Berlin!

After a nice flight from Basel we arrived in Berlin, the city that is fully focused on the World Cup.

The heat was quite a pain but we found the Bookstore without any problems.

Welcome to Hamburg!

The BOOK for BUSH has a new temporary home. It is now exposed at the Thalia bookstore in Hamburg Germany.

But let’s start with the beginning.
During the Art Basel fair the book was shown at the Lichtfeld exposition in Basel. From there we had to bring it to Hamburg with Comeniu’s car in one day. We expected the worst regarding the traffic on German highways because of the FIFA Worldcup going on in Germany but we were very lucky. We even had time to enjoy the skyline of Frankfurt and the landscape in general. Just in case someone wonders how we didn’t get bored on our 7 hours trip, it’s simple: Buy an Audiobook, kick it in your stereo and get entertained. It worked like a charm. Only Comenius had to concentrate because he had to drive…

We arrived in Hamburg and were stunned by the charme of this city with it’s huge port, the Elbe channel and it’s ancient red buildings. During our stay we met and saw people from a variety of countries all wearing the shirts of their respective football team. There were flags and banners everywhere but hey it’s Worldcup! :)
On three a clock local time the game between Switzerland and Togo started, of course we supported our team! :)

Later in the evening we partied with a friend of mine who showed us some nice places in Hamburg.

Next day.

Take a shower, get breakfast, get some coffee, done!
Then work!
Of course we still had the book and everything in our car. So we drove to Thalia which is actually relay nice. There the manager Miss Kirsten Landt welcomed us and we set up everything at the best place in the store! The pics just prove that.

Since everything was done we only had to drive back to Basel and Comenius did a fantastic job with avoiding traffic jams and driving us safely home. When we finally arrived in Basel he looked more like a zombie than human… respect!

The BOOK for BUSH is going to stay in Hamburg for two weeks.
You can have a look at it at Thalia Hamburg Spitalstrasse 8.

The tour has started and we’re already looking forward to going to Berlin.

The Tour Continues

In nine days from now the BOOK for BUSH is going to be exposed at the “Lichtfeld” exhibition in Basel and we are very happy about that.

But let’s talk about the next stops on our tour:
The next two destinations will lead us to Germany where the book is going to be exposed in the cities of Hamburg and Berlin.

Here are the dates

Hamburg: 20.6.2006 untill 4.7.2006
Berlin: 5.7.2006 untill 5.8.2006

We’re all looking forward to going to Hamburg and Berlin and would love to see you there!
We’re going to keep you updated!

BOOK for BUSH goes Lichtfeld

After 4 pleasent weeks the BOOK for BUSH has been moved to it’s next location. As I wrote in the last post we are going to be featured at Lichtfeld art exhibition during the ART Basel fair.
Boris, Comenius and I spent a day moving everything to it’s new and exciting place!

First we had to pick up some stuff that Comenius needed, that’s why we needed the truck. After we arrived at the location we set everythin up and enjoyed the great view over the city of Basel! What a nice day!

Yet another Interview

The BOOK for BUSH is approaching it’s third week of existence and we’re not slowing down at all. Today Boris and Comenius gave an interview to the Swiss newspaper 20minuten.

We met at Comenius’s atelier where the reporter joined us.

As you can see our two guys enjoyed answering the questions. :)

Later we started planing the tour for BOOK for BUSH. The book is going to travel through Europe where it’s going to be exhibited in major cities. The first destination is probably going to be Berlin but we are still planing our timetable…

That’s it so far, thanks for your interest! :)

Some Thoughts from Friday

Last Friday the whole BOOK for BUSH team met at Javi’s place where we had a nice barbeque. Actually one guy couldn’t make it to the party. Urs Graber just came home from London this day and he was exhausted from finishing his couture-collection. We hope his work is going to get a great response.
Later this evening we had our first big meeting since the launch. We started discussing how we could optimize the site. There are a lot of minor things that we are going to implement in the coming days and weeks. At this point we would thank all the users who sent us feedback comcerning the site. We realy do appreciate it!
Our main concern though is that a major part of our visitors seems to think that this project is not a real thing. We expected this kind of reaction and this is - and will be - the biggest challenge for this project. But we know that we are going to convince everyone abou the fact that we are realy going to bring this book to Mr. George W. Bush.
